In case you didn’t know, there are immature and crass individuals who either identify themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender – or who support the LGBT community regardless of their own sexual orientation.
This isn’t surprising, because there are immature and crass individuals in every segment of society. Call me late to the party, but I had never heard the term “breeder” used to describe heterosexual married couples until today.
A gay man called in to the Michael Medved radio show today to rail against Chick-Fil-A. He was disgusted to-the-max that a privately-held fast food chicken chain is permitted to censor his freedom of speech. WHAHHH?
The caller shared his excitement over the LGBT kiss-in protest being planned in Chick-Fil-A restaurants tomorrow. He fervently endorses marathon “passionate kissing” to disrupt business in the privately-held fast food chicken chain outlets. This stunt sounds like something a bunch of idiot high-school kids might do after the prom at an ice-cream parlor or pizza joint. Like immature teens, the only reason to stage such a silly (and unsanitary) event is to prove that they can.
Let me be perfectly clear about how I feel about a LGBT kiss-in at a restaurant — exactly as I would if it were a heterosexual event. YECHHHHHH!
I hope the more mature members of the LGBT community recognize a really nasty idea when they hear it. I don’t mean nasty as in mean-spirited (although I’m sure there’s at least a twinge of that involved,) but nasty in that I don’t need to see ANY two humans in a marathon “passionate kissing” event. Particularly where food is being served. Come on folks, grow up.
Asinine, Churlish, and Boorish LGBT Behavior
I realize I may be the only person who never heard heterosexual married persons referred to as “breeders” before. If so, well, now you know. Did you know there are some really crass members of the LGBT community? There are — just like there are in the non-LGBT population.
When I heard the caller use the term “breeder” with such familiarity, like it was part of his everyday conversation, I was more than a bit surprised. Why? Because of the hypocrisy. For someone whose main purpose was to complain about the perceived disrespect he feels for himself and his fellows (in the brethren sense), calling parents “breeders” like they are a bunch of chickens is the height of boorishness, churlishness, stupidity, and nerve. And, spouting such garbage makes him look like a complete and total jerk. (Yes indeed, there are jerks in every segment of the population as well.)
“Happy Breeders Day, Mom”
I wonder if this young man mails a “Happy Breeder’s Day” card to his mother each May? Perhaps he feels the same way about her? She obviously couldn’t have been exclusively LGBT or he wouldn’t exist and I wouldn’t have heard him make an ass-inine out of himself on the radio this afternoon.
And so, Mr. Radio-Caller, please grow up, find someone who will teach you something useful rather than tacky, and keep your “passionate” embrace at home tomorrow. I don’t care what you do as long as I don’t have to watch. Whether you bring a guy or girl isn’t material to this discussion, just keep your private stuff private and let others do so as well.
No one is forcing anyone to patronize this privately-held fast food chicken chain and I don’t want to see any crass behavior at the table next to mine if I choose to spend my lunch money Eatin’ Chik’n tomorrow.
Sad, just sad.
