“There’s a sucker born every minute” – or – Obama’s Legacy

P.T. Barnum is credited with the famous observation that there’s a gullible person around every corner just waiting to be fleeced by the next scam artist.

The greatest show -- Politics.

Are the victims of this latest hoax really that naive or simply paying attention to what their President has been promising for the past four years? Are they silly suckers or is Obama that accomplished a snake oil salesman?

Thousand of folks across the U.S. believe the story that Obama will pay up to $1000 of their personal bills, like utilities, phone, and bank loans. The program they’ve heard about allows them to use the red routing number on the back of their Social Security card (cards newer than 1997) to access federal dollars to make online or telephone payments. Unfortunately for them, the story is a hoax.

Feeding the hoax — and the testimonials — is that some bill payment systems may give consumers confirmation numbers when they pay by phone. The confirmation doesn’t always mean the payment was successful – it may only confirm the bank information was logged into the call center, said Lou Tekavcic, a trade specialist for the Better Business Bureau. – Plain Dealer article

Americans Are Buying What Obama is Selling

The saddest part of this story is that so many people actually believe that President Obama will pay their bills. In many ways the Administration is trying to do just that; make as many U.S. citizens as possible dependent by encouraging them to apply for food stamps, disability, unemployment compensation, free health care, free education, etc.

Some folks actually believe that President Obama and his crew are their personal sugar daddies. Every Sugar Daddy wants something in return… in this case they want your vote and your personal freedom. There never has been a free lunch and there isn’t now. The bill will come due.

The Obama Legacy

In case there’s any confusion, there is NO program that lets you pay bills using the red numbers on the back of your social security card. I find is absolutely astonishing that thousands of folks who might read this piece would accuse me of lying about the President. I wonder just how many US citizens are Obama-blind?

Massive debt. A citizenry becoming more pathetic every day. Failed educational systems. A health system about to collapse. A weakened military. (Can you say Major Nidal Hassan?) Failed foreign policy. An economy on the brink of disaster.

Yes, Mr. President, some people will vote for four more years. They’re also going to be calling you when they receive notice that your payments were rejected.
