Idiots and Politics – Presidential Campaign 2012

“What is he hiding?”
This question is being asked by those who want to re-elect Barack Obama as well as those who hope for a President Romney next January.
The latest dish against Romney is the number of tax returns he has made public and the existence of a Swiss bank account. Opponents say the only obvious reason not to place the information into the public record is that he must be hiding something.
The same question is asked about the President’s assertion of Executive Privilege regarding the Fast and Furious investigation as well as continuing questions and conflicting evidence about his school records, place of birth, oddities in his social security number, and the mysterious absence of documents related to much of his life. If he has nothing to hide why doesn’t he put the information into the public record?
Obama – a campaign of magicians
With little to run on except a record of failure, the Obama campaign is hoping to perfect political sleight-of-hand to keep audiences focused on what they want you to see and not what they don’t want you to see. Is it ignorance or apathy that leads the electorate to ignore the avalanche of failures, broken promises, and downright lies told by the Obama Administration? (I know, the pols on the right are equally challenged at separating fact from rhetoric.)
Is anyone in doubt that Mitt Romney has made a lot of money? No. So all the hub-bub about tax returns and bank accounts is garbage unless there is an accusation of tax fraud. There is no evidence to support such a claim so this is much ado about nothing. And the much ado is designed to keep voters from looking at the lack of documentation in Obama’s past and the overwhelming amount of evidence that his first term in office was a disaster.
How many are in doubt about the life and evolution of Barack Obama? Millions of folks. He fooled many of us in 2008 because we didn’t know where he came from. Now that we know a little more about the President it isn’t so strange that things have worked out the way they have. The Obama campaign suggests the President will be different and accomplish more in the next four years. All we have to go on is the last few years. We still don’t know much about the rest of his life. So, what is he hiding?
“Forward!” – Obama asks us to ignore the carnage of his first term
President Obama is asking for four more years to produce hope and change. His mantra of, “Don’t go back to the failed policies of the Bush Administration that got us into this mess” is idiotic on its face.
Why would Obama and his surrogates say something so stupid when most of us are looking for ways to escape the failed policies of the Obama Administration? Not all of us thought Bush and the Congress did such a good job, but nearly every metric since Obama was inaugurated has gotten worse. The magic of the Obama campaign is the bits and pieces of fact presented as evidence of some much larger accomplishment.
President Obama has never taken responsibility for telling us who he is and how he got to the White House. His autobiography has been proven to be more a novel and propaganda than fact. What do we know for sure?
President Obama’s Record for the Ignorant or Apathetic
- The faith and credit of the United States was downgraded for the first time in history.
- Unemployment has skyrocketed (of course, when you change the formula the results change)
- The net work of the average American has dropped precipitously.
- The national debt had increased by nearly 50%.
- The Obama Administration is as transparent as a rock.
- You have to go back a long time to find race relations as bad as they are today.
- This “uniter” told the Republican Congressional delegation during budget talks to “go to the back of the bus.”
- President Obama has never received ONE VOTE in the Senate for any budget presented since he took office.
- The number of folks on disability and food stamps has mushroomed.
This is a short list. The number of failures of this president are so great that it boggles the mind. Especially when he asks voters to “Look ahead.” In other words, ignore what I’ve done and let me do it again. If you buy that line you may be insane or an idiot according to the definition posed by Albert Einstein.
Wake up, America, before it’s too late. Ask the question, “What’s he hiding?” Don’t let his slick magic get you to look at the pretty line he’s selling so you won’t see the horrible truth hiding behind the curtain. Four more years? God help us.
