Insane New Year’s Resolution from Mark Twain

Christmas is past and the New Year looms larger as each day passes until the countdown ends at midnight on New Year’s Eve. Everyone will either make a list of resolutions for the New Year or stick to a prior resolution to quit making them altogether.
Quotes and Ponderables is devoted to giving you either a daily chuckle or food for thought as you prepare to welcome January 1st. Mark Twain kicks off the week with his “insane” observation about New Years:
“New Year’s Day: Now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual.” ~Mark Twain
Why insane?
“Insanity – doing the same thing over and expecting different results.” – Albert Einstein
If your list of resolutions this year is the same as last, you can bet the results will be the same as well.
The countdown begins: 5 days till New Year
